Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little better. We are sending as many prayers for love and support for you as you make your decision. ~ Chris and Nicole

About Us: Chris & I have been married nearly 7 years and it seems much less. Chris is in the Air Force and I am a nurse practitioner. I work in both critical care areas (ICUs of the hospital) and do part time shifts in the ER.

Chris and I love to spend time together, travel, laugh and hang out. we have three great fur babies! They have substituted as our kids for a long time now (poor babies). Bailey is our oldest. She just turned 12 on valentine's day and she is a sheppard mix and as spunky now as she was when she was a puppy. Shaunuk is our middle child. She is 9 yrs old and the laid back one in the family. her attitude is, unless it is food there is no reason to get worked up about it. Then there is Rambo. He is our "ooops" child. He wandered into our yard a couple of years ago around Christmas time. Being the saps that we are we adopted him. Although, it seems like the adoption ocurred from his perspective long before we signed the paperwork. All 3 of our "babies" are pound puppies in one way or another. They are well mannered, well behaved and can't wait to have a baby in the house. They are tired of playing with other peoples kids and then having to give them back. They want one of their own!

Our families both have members who have been adopted and they are all dying to meet our new baby boy one day! Of course our siblings are waiting to buy us the loud and annoying toys that we once bought their children as they have been growing up as pay back...but it will be well worth it!

Chris's Mom & Dad are practically giddy at the opportunity to spoil another child. My dad has since passed away, but my mother is just itching to come down and spoil another grandchild.

Where We Live: We live in a great neighborhood. It is a brand new subdivision with two large parks, two community pools, soccer field, baseball field, basketball court, tennis court, the all important sand volleyball court, bike lanes and large walking sidewalks down the main thoroughfare that people use frequently. We even have our own elementary school not even a block away.

We have a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house with our own pool, a large yard (for our fur babies) and the best neighbors in the world! We already have the baby room picked out and wired for sound for when our little one comes home. We have a lot of space!

Where We Work: Chris works on the local air force base as an intelligence officer. He is active reserve and deploys occassionally but the good news is that being reserves we don't have to move every 4 yrs like the active duty people do. Because of the nature of his job, i often get the statement "I could tell you, but I would have to kill you" when I ask about his work...so I just quit asking what he did and started just asking if he had a good day.

I work in the local teaching hospital as a critical care nurse practitioner. I work nights and i really like my job. I had joined the navy years ago to get money to go to school and be a nurse. then realized my childhood dream of becoming an nurse and a doctor could be a reality and went back to school. I also work part time picking up shifts in the ER once-twice a month.

About Our Children: We have fur babies and they ROCK! They are attentive, loving, adorable, cuddle bugs and shed enough to make another littler of dogs! But we love them!

Our Religious Beliefs: Chris grew up a southern baptist and I grew up as a Roman Catholic. We have similar views on a lot of things and religon doesn't cause us argument. We believe that there is a God, that he is great, that he will care for those who believe and follow, however they choose to follow.

Things We Like to Do: We L.O.V.E. to travel! we love to see new places. We enjoy seeing family, cooking, reading, learning new things, spending time together and sporty things. I love to be outside!! Chris is the computer geek, loves his race cars. (not to mention that he burns at the thought of sun).

Why We Hope To Adopt: We have not had any success in having a child of our own. No one knows why and no one seems to know how to fix it so that we can. we have had multiple miscarriages (7) and we still haven't been able to carry one to term. It is heart wrenching!

Our Extended Family: Chris has one sister, one nephew and multiple cousins and they are all very close. At least once a year they all get together and have thanksgiving together.

I have 2 sisters and one brother, 2 nephews, 3 nieces and multiple aunts, cousins and two uncles. We talk often and meet up whenever we can. My family loves to visit me because of our location. Especially in the winter! No snow down south!

We'd love to visit with you more!
